Rusty's neice Samantha Jo has heart Cardiomyopathy. She has had a pace maker since birth. She has had multiple heart surgeries in her short life of 5 years. She also had her wish granted by the Make-A-Wish foundation last year and she got to enjoy Disney World with her whole family. Each year the Make-A-Wish foundation of Michigan holds fund raisers that Rusty's family gets to be a part of...and we do not. So this year we decided to have a family carnaval and donate our proceeds to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Samantha Jo and her family flew out from Detroit and with Rusty's parents, sister Shelly and her husband and his sister Tasha we were able to have a great carnaval. We were hoping to raise $600 to donate and ended up raising $2700. It was a great carnaval and we look forward to next year!

ReplyDeleteRusty may or may not be the freakiest clown I have ever seen! Ahhhhhhhh. Sarah and me are trying to figure out a time to meet up. What are you doing conference weekend? She was thinking maybe we could all three meet up in SLC while the boys are at priesthood. Let me know what ya think.
